The NEXAT System is a wide-span carrier vehicle with interchangeable implements that perform Ground Preparation, Seeding, Nutrient Application and Harvesting tasks using modular attachments called Applications. These Applications can be swapped remotely, interchanged by one person in under 10 minutes.

Terrakamp Wide Span Controlled Traffic Farming (WSCTF)

In an effort to reduce soil compaction, increase efficiency, and improve yields, many growers have transitioned to Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) methods. With Terrakamp’s mission to improve the health of our soil, the NEXAT system sets a new standard for best practices: Wide Span Controlled Traffic Farming (WSCTF)

  • Traffic lanes are minimized, are never cultivated, and become permanent
  • Compaction levels are reduced to only 5% of land area
  • Weight is evenly distributed and consistently optimized for terrain
  • Earth’s natural process of soil regeneration is revitalized
  • Carbon sequestration is promoted and overall health of soil is increased

Electrically Driven

NEXAT is electrically driven. The generators are currently powered by two 550 hp efficient diesel engines, but are fully prepared to be powered by green hydrogen fuel cells. Using precise path planning, sensors and cameras, the system is prepared for both static and dynamic obstacles in the field. The result: increased nutrients, decreased CO2 emissions, and a solution to tackling our global climate crisis.

Accurate Guidance

The WSCTF method enables the NEXAT Applications to be guided more accurately and with less slip, significantly reducing the machine’s fuel consumption and

CO2-emissions. As each Application is integrated, its weight is transferred onto the carrier vehicle and optimized so that it essentially becomes a self-propelled machine.
